It is desirable for the government of the USA to lose (or restrain) its (apparent) appetite for global conquest and the further conglomeration of control over the world's recources. The US as a global hedgemon is an unstable and unfavorable aspect for the world's people, including those of US citizenship. There is a better way. A better world is possible. Violence and a war-like disposition will only serve the purposes of destruction and dehumanization.

The government, which maintains its nuclear activity is only for peaceful, civilian uses, has launched a program to reinforce key sites, such as Natanz and Isfahan, by building concrete ceilings, tunneling into mountains and camouflaging facilities. This was a big discussion at the Sunday Book Group. We are outraged. Dad said it's going to be really something to see all the geezers on the streets marching against this one. What in the world is this president thinking? Even if this was a good idea (which it is not!), we have neither the money nor the military forces to do it. Did you see Doonesbury on Sunday? He's right on, as usual.
ReplyDeletewe no longer control what happens in this country or what happens to us. it is a terrifying moment in history; this plan of attack against iran. the consequences are unfathomable! korea, china and rusia are waiting for an opportunity and our military might and global standing is dwindling rapidly.
