I just read news of Bush's new detainee bill, which gives him the power to hold "enemy combatants" indefinitely. This is a frighteningly draconian evolution of truly Orwellian proportion.
I am ashamed of the goings on of federal gov't in D.C. Let's find ways to enforce accountability and effect change. The current regime is not working for the people.

The way to do this is to find candidates that are from the outside of our 2 party system and vote them in. Unfortunately, the money's isn't there and the economy is shaping up. You're still looking at only a 20-30% voter turnout...It's the same deal with alternative energy...as soon as gas prices started dropping everyone quit talking about it...We as a nation...are miopic...
