Well, further, and according to Vincent Bugliosi, sending the troops into harm's way without national security imperative, prerogative, or necessity makes those culpable decision makers complicit in the murder of U.S. Soldiers. There was not national security justification for the invasion of Iraq. The justification for invasions/occupation is the policy of global dominance. Access to, and control of, the vast Middle East petroleum resources is a necessary ingredient in the maintenance of global dominance.
So, the essential truth is that the U.S. launched a military invasion - an act of aggression - designed to conquer, extract and exploit the mineral resources of a foreign nation. That is not okay with me. How's it by you?
Why are you so happy about believing the troops are being abused?
ReplyDeleteI am not happy about the abuse of the troops. In fact, I am very displeased with the situation. But it's no reason to frown and cast gloom about. I prefer to remain optimistic and hopeful despite the atrocious actions of my government.
ReplyDeleteI was smiling because I enjoy exercising my first amendment right to free speech. It also feels good to speak the truth, and to speak in a way that sticks up for humanity and my fellow human beings, the soldiers who are being abused by the politics, and decision making, of Members of the Bush Administration.
Holding the sign for me is an act of Love. It brings warmth and gladness to my being. Speak the truth. You will find sometimes that your voice trembles, but the rewards are intrinsic and very deep.
I also work to consciously reach out to others, especially during peace vigils, with positive regards. It really helps!
