Okay...it's been a few days since I first heard this guy...and I have to respond. Alot of my conservative brethern are going to hate me for this but I must speak on this subject. Here are the facts: No one was prepared for a catagory 5 hurricaine. Hurricaines don't descriminate. People are idiots. People should be responsible. Mike Brown did nothing of any value in the wake of a tremendous tragedy.
MB said in his hearing that the state and local governments were not organized and that FEMA only reacted to requests made by them... Looky here Brownie... You're the head of @$#@%$ing FEMA. Show some leadership! LIKE RAY SAID...DO SOMETHING!!! In times like these SOMEBODY GOTTA BE DA MAN! That's why you were hired. Pointing at the mayor of a major US city that just got wiped from the planet to take the lead role in it's recovery is a little far fetched. THAT'S WHAT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS FOR! Read Thomas Payne Brownie. I quote "Society is produced by our wants, and government by wickedness; the former promotes our happiness positively by uniting our affections, the latter negatively by restraining our vices." FEMA WAS DESIGNED TO PROTECT THE CITIZENS OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY in a disaster. It was designed to come in and lead in the recovery...WE NEEDED LEADERSHIP AND ALL WE GOT WAS A BROWNIE.
